Vinyl Art: Musicians Portraits On Vinyl Records

So far, we've seen vinyl records being reused and made into beautiful home accessories and jewelry. If that wasn't impressive enough for you... this should be.

I was recently emailed by artist Daniel Edlen who has found another fantastic way to reuse vinyl records. Instead of remaking them into something else, Daniel has chosen to keep the records as they are and paint on them, turning them into these beautiful masterpieces.

Daniel creates his art by using white acrylic on records that don't work anymore. Each piece is hand painted original, so you're a guaranteed a unique piece of art, and framed with the original album sleeve as a background. Check out this video of Daniel creating one of his pieces:

His online gallery showcases a great collection of the portraits he's already made. If you can't find your favorite artist or album there, great news is getting it is as easy as contacting Daniel. You can even send him your own vinyl records to paint on, as music is a very personal thing and having your own favorite album hanging on your wall would make a huge difference.

If you would like more information or have any questions you can always contact Daniel through his website: Vinyl Art.info. You can also keep up with his work through his blog.
