While most of us spend a lot of time trying to hide power cords, design company Artecnica made Wire Pod with the intention of transforming power cords and wires from concealed, and passive objects to visible and active elements that are both functional and artistic.
"WirePod is a flexible gray power pod that begins with a three-prong plug and branches out into four curled arms, each with a single three-prong socket. Its arms and body roll and unfurl as needed to adjust for your functional living space."
As much as I appreciate the design of this, I never ever want wires and cords to be an active element in my living space, I just hate them too much. And I think $330 for an extension cord is a lot. If you're willing to spend that much on it though, you can buy it here. [via]
