Inspiring Illustrated Books

Here are some books that I've enjoyed recently, these books are full of art with few words to go with it, they're very nice to flip through whenever you're in need of inspiration.

The Principles of Uncertainty:

This book by artist Maira Kalman, who is famous for her gorgeous New Yorker covers and her NY Times blog, is a charming collection of text, illustrations and photographs that present a year in a life. Rob Ryan’s This is for You is a combination of poetry, graphic novel and museum art. The book features the story of a young man’s love and his ultimate triumph over loneliness. Each page of the book is an astonishing piece of art that has been hand cut and hand painted, then photographed. His cut-out art is available for purchase at his Etsy store.
