Few weeks ago I came across the work of Korean design studio
ConnectDesign when designer Wonjune Song submitted his simple yet brilliant
Multi Lines Extension Cord to be featured on Holycool. I looked at their store and loved everything in it! So I picked up a few items that I felt like I had to have for some reason; The Watch Diary, EmboGarden Cardholder and EmboGarden Coasters
The Watch Diary By Wonjune Song:
When I first saw the Watch Diary, I thought it was just a notebook with a clock in the middle of it, which is nice but nothing too special. Turns out, it actually changes the way you use a daily planner...

The diary is split in half, the first half (where the clock is) is used as a planner and is laid out to write your daily plans, the pages on the right side is a timetable and the left side is for notes. The clock in the middle of the notebook isn’t to show what time it is right now, but rather to show you what task you need to do right now and how much left you’ve got left till the other task. What you do is, you write down your tasks in the timetable around the clock, then you point the red hour hand at the task you need to start doing now, and as the hand moves you’ll get a better look at what you have done and what’s yet to be done. The second half of the notebook has a regular line note pages.
The Watch Diary comes in five colors, and you can
buy it here for $17.
The EmboGarden Series by Haeah:
The EmboGarden cardholder and coasters are simple, well done felt products that add fun and color to your home or office...
The cardholder is made of 8 felt layers in different colors, it can be used to hold business cards, photos, or as I’m currently use it to hold notes.
The colorful coasters come in a set of 3 or 6 that can be joined together to create different shapes or to increase the size of it so it holds bigger things such as pots. Each coaster is made of two felt layers, the bottom layer is always brown while the top layer varies in colors: red, orange, yellow, blue, sky blue and green. Of course, the more sets you get, the bigger shape you can build with them.
You can get your
EmboGarden Rainbow here for $5.80, and the
EmboGarden Coasters here : $11 for 3, $20 for 6 or $3.80 for 1 (but where’s the fun in that?!).
I can safely say that
ConnectDesign is now one of my favorite design studios and I’m certainly looking forward to what they’ll come up with next!
