ABC3D by Marion Bataille

ABC3D is a work of art more than a pop-up book. Starting with its lenticular cover that changes with the angle of your hand showing the alphabets from A to Z. In the book, you see the 26 three dimensional letters change from one letter to another as you flip through the pages. Now before you start thinking of it as "a book with the alphabets in it", watch the video and prepare to be amazed.

The book won't be released till October 14th but it's available on Amazon.com for pre-order.

Amazon's Kindle Is Back In Stock

Kindle: Amazon's Wireless Reading Device is a revolutionary device that is called "the future of book reading". With it's high definition electronic paper display, text reads and looks exactly like real paper. The first time Amazon released Kindle it sold out almost immediately, and was out of stock for a long time. Lucky for us, it is now in stock again.

How it works is really simple: your wireless device connects you directly to the Amazon Kindle Store were you can shop for books, magazine subscriptions and even blogs for fraction of their original prices. It downloads directly to your Kindle and it's stored there. No cable or computer needed. This basically means that: if you think of a book... you can get it in a second, your morning paper will download while your asleep, and your favorite RSS feeds and blogs are in your hand, no matter where you are.

The QWERTY keyboard makes it easy to search your library, search the Kindle store and add notations to text just like you would write in the margin of a book. Another great thing the Kindle has is it's built in dictionary and built in access to Wikipedia, so looking up information has never been easier.

Kindle sells for $399.00 only on Amazon.com. The price isn't exactly sweet, but it's definitely well worth it. It is ranked number one in Amazon's best sellers in Electronics and has been reviewed by over 2000 customers, so that sure says something about it.

Dot Dot Dash: Designer Toys, Action Figures and Character Art

Many people still see designer vinyl toys, action figures and plush dolls as just 'toys', matter of fact is they are much more than that. They are now seen as part of contemporary design and are directly related to graphic art. Many of the toys appear to be rather cute and pretty at first sight but if you look a little farther you'll see that the designs were created to evoke a message, even political ones that some people seem to miss. And as most of them are produced in limited numbers, they are highly collectible.

Dot Dot Dash is a book that showcases those toys, and the artwork of world famous artists. Any lover of toys, design and graphic art is sure to get a kick out of this one.
